Deion Sanders is well accustomed to media criticism lately.

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders was directly questioned about ESPN pundit Paul Finebaum labeling the Colorado program as irrelevant during a recent episode of "Outta Pocket with RGIII.

But he's talking about us. How can we be irrelevant if you're discussing us? It seems like every time I turn around, someone is sending me a quote of you talking about me.

Robert Griffin III’s wife and co-host of the podcast, remarked that Finebaum must be a fan then.

Sanders replied, "The thing about a fan is, you have to understand, it only blows when you're hot."

A fan only blows when you're hot, so we must be hot. I know what he's doing, and I'm proud that he's smart enough to understand this generation," Sanders remarked.

The mindset and communication style in sports has evolved, and he's one of the last of a fading generation.

So, what does he need to do to stay relevant in this changing landscape? ‘Oh, I have to find the next big bad wolf to talk about, so I can maintain my relevance.’ And I'm fine with that.

But I'm not going to assist you, contribute to your cause, or respond, because that's exactly what you're looking for.

Yeah, you're just trying to get a response from me, but that's not what I do. I'm not going to help you rise.

Keeler and Sanders had a tense interaction on August 9 during Colorado’s media day.
