Amid a powerful windstorm, flames from the Palisades Fire engulf a building on Sunset Boulevard in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.

As powerful winds drive devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area, vehicles and a house are engulfed in flames, prompting evacuations during the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California.

By Wednesday at 11 a.m. local time, over 20 patients had been treated at UCLA Health hospitals for fire-related injuries.

According to TN, one patient remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The fire remains completely uncontained, with fire officials reporting that at least 3,000 residents have been evacuated.

Strong winds are driving the flames southward, and Cal Fire warns that the fire threatens to cross Burbank Boulevard.

Red flag warnings are currently in effect for the Malibu coast and will remain active until 6 p.m. on Thursday.

The weather service cautioned about the potential for downed power lines and overturned big rigs, trailers, and motorhomes.
